Save Silver Creek

SaveSilverCreek.org is a web site developed for the public to use and be able to gather non-bias factual information about Silver Creek in Idaho. For eight years SaveSilverCreek.org has gathered data concerning the health of this vital eco-system. For the people who love Silver Creek, this web site is full of historical data and current information that can be found nowhere else.

Current information on proposed projects, data collecting and events can be found at SaveSilverCreek.org. Some of the future projects we are currently keeping an eye on are a rehab of Purdy’s pond, extensive stream monitoring including: expanded temperature data collection, silt cross section data and stream flow monitoring. Now available at SaveSilverCreek.org with help from The Nature Conservancy is the Silver Creek Watershed Management Plan, developed by Ecosystem Sciences Foundation in Boise, Idaho. This is an exciting time for Silver Creek and SaveSilverCreek.org is proud to be a part of it!

Vintage Dave

Once lost and now found, this is some great footage of Dave Faltings and Ritchie Thurston fishing Silver Creek during the Brown Drake hatch in 1995. Love the stache!

New Fly Tying Materials!

We now offer a well stocked fly-tying inventory. Featuring materials from Hareline, Umpqua and Spirit River. Most importantly, we have a large inventory of Grizzly Hackles and other Whiting Eurohackles, a very high demand material that we were lucky to find!

Massive Golden Mahseer

Only a few weeks removed from fishing for steelhead on the Salmon, SCO Guide Bryant Dunn is currently fishing in Bhutan for Golden Mahseer. A few days ago he was lucky enough to land this monster of a fish, 38 inches, on a streamer pattern. The massive Golden Mahseer fried his reel during the fight, but was successfully landed. A true "fish of lifetime".
