Are you ready to take your fly fishing skills to the next level? In the morning we will meet classroom style and discuss bug identification, reading moving water, rigging for dry flies and nymphs, and dead drifting techniques. We will end the morning with a “hands-on” casting session to learn presentation casts from the reach cast to the parachute to the wiggle cast. In the afternoon, we’ll move to the Wood River and put your new knowledge to work. We will observe the bugs and make our fly selection and rigging technique. From there we will look at various “water structures” and master line mending for the perfect drift and casts to get to those difficult to reach prime fish locations.
Cost: $150 per student Includes transportation, flies and the use of fly rods and reels; unless you prefer to use your own.
