Fly Fishing 201

On the Water

This class covers the challenges of fly fishing on moving water. You will learn upstream and downstream presentations, line handling, and slack line casts and mends that allow for longer drag-free drifts. The class is open to anyone with basic fly casting skills. It will be held on the Big Wood River during the summer so you may want to dress for wet wading.

We recommend wet wading boots, quick drying shorts, UPF shirt & hat. Also recommend a sun gaiter & sun gloves. And plenty of sunscreen!
