He loves his job and looks forward to sharing his enthusiasm with you.
For 3 years, Tucker Patton, a Northern California native, has called the Wood River Valley home. In order of importance, his wife, skiing and the outdoors convinced him to make the move from Squaw Valley and he hasn’t looked back. He first felt the pull of a taut line in California during fishing trips with his father and brother to the area lakes. Tucker credits his father for always encouraging him to pursue his passion for fly fishing and travel.
The fact that every guide trip, and every day on the river, is different is what most appeals to Tucker when he takes guests out for an adventure: you’re never truly certain what the day will hold! “Every guest is unique with their own stories and goals,” he explained. When he is not fishing, Tucker is busy running a heli ski operation and travel business and with his beautiful wife, little boy, and chocolate lab. In his rare free time, he loves to mountain bike, surf, ski, fish, kite-surf, and pursue his passion for photography.
Teacher. “Fishing is the vehicle to get outside, explore new places, travel, learn, meet new people and experience new things. I am focused on the journey and catching fish is really just an excuse to get out after it. ”

"Tucker was an outstanding guide, provided excellent service"
From Triple Point Expeditions
Tucker was a great guide. Had a few things in common with him, so the day went well. For the full day trip, we did 1/2 day at Silver Creek and 1/2 day on the big wood. He helped diagnose and correct a few issues I was having with my fly presentation and hook setting, after that we killed it! Great day, hope to be back soon and will recommend Tucker to friends if they book an outing through Silver Creek.
My Patagonia waders that are only two seasons old and not used all that much leaked horribly on my full day guide trip.. booties filled full with water after 4 hours in the float tube at silver creek. Store staff set me up with a new Simms G3 waders and boots the next day. They worked out well for the rest of my trip - thanks.David Brown

Tucker was so understanding about the limitations of our small group. I heard from Tucker the evening before our trip but wasn't able to take the two attempts he made to phone me. I would have preferred a text message so I could call him back and talk about what to wear, what to bring, etc.Jennifer Wilson
Tucker Patton proved to be an excellent guide -thoughtful, instructive and patient. Tucker watched out for us the whole way through, very knowledgeable and predictive when it came to catching fish. My buddy Jim and I are relative novices in the fly fishing world and without Tucker's able assistance, we would have been skunked!John Handley
He was super eager and attentive, gave us full explanations of out fishing options, assured us we would have fun - and he was right on! Nice guy.
The whole experience could not have been more fun or nicer!
