Our Commitment to Accessibility

Silver Creek Outfitters is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards.

 

Conformance Status

We are actively working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.

 

Current status: Partial conformance — some content does not yet fully conform to the WCAG 2.1 AA standard. We are actively remediating identified issues according to the schedule below.

 

Technical Specifications

This website relies on the following technologies for conformance with WCAG 2.1:

  • CSS3
  • JavaScript

The following tools are used to assess and improve accessibility:

  • WAVE Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool (wave.webaim.org)
  • Google Lighthouse Accessibility Audit
  • axe DevTools browser extension
  •      We will be installing UserWay Accessibility Widget during the month of May 2026 once we test it on our site and confirm compatibility.

 

Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations include:

  • Some older PDF documents and/or images may not be fully tagged for screen readers
  • Certain third-party embedded content may not meet all WCAG 2.1 AA criteria
  • Some legacy images are being updated with descriptive alt text on a rolling basis

We are working to address these issues and expect resolution by January 2027.
