Helen keeps Silver Creek Outfitters running behind the scenes — reconciling the books, running payroll, wrangling invoices, and keeping the office (mostly) under control during the fishing season rush. She joined our Accounting Office in February 2026, bringing a bachelor’s and master’s in accounting from Montana State University, with a soft spot for the puzzle of a good tax return.
Raised in Eagle River, Alaska, Helen grew up Nordic skiing before she could reliably walk in a straight line, and spent middle school dabbling in cross-country running, biathlon, swimming, track, a stint in figure skating, and a badge sash as a proud Venture Scout.
Sun Valley entered the picture in April 2024 when Helen came to race the Spring Series with the Montana State Nordic team at Galena Lodge — she stayed in a cell-service-free cabin off Highway 75 and genuinely believed the whole valley was just quiet woods until the post-race party at Grumpy’s several days later.
Off the clock, you’ll find her trail running on anything except pavement, eyeing a lake to jump in, or sharing a meal and live music with friends. Ask her what she likes best about the job and she won’t hesitate: the team upstairs who take the time to help one another out no matter how high their own work load may be.
