If I fished only to capture fish,
my fishing trips would have ended long ago.
Scott Connell has a self-declared insatiable passion for the outdoors, hunting and fishing. “Living in Idaho allows me to ‘be in it’ all day, every day,” he said. Scott can confidently tout Idaho as an excellent place to live, as he has lived many, many places. Born in California, he said growing up “we lived all over the United States, moving every time my father got a promotion.” He stayed in Illinois long enough to earn a B.S. in Marketing from Southern Illinois University, before continuing his travels. No matter where he lived, though, fishing was always a part of his life. “When I was about eight-years-old on a family camping trip in northern California, I hooked my first trout on a little spinning rod with salmon eggs,” Scott recalled.
“Feeling the tug on the end of my line, I was hooked for life!” As someone who loves to live in the moment, Scott’s favorite hatch is “what is going off right now!”
