Nick Purdy of the RR Ranch updates us on the progress of the Silver Creek Restoration Project as of this first week of November.
“As the picture shows we have diverted Silver Creek and dried up the pond. The dam has been removed and the new dam will be started next week. The mud is 6 ft deep in places but there is a solid bottom below that is allowing the machines to dig it out and place it on an island that will be created from it. We are burning up $1000 an hour at times so money is going to be an issue before we are completed. We salvaged nearly 1500 fish with the help of the Fish and Game and 25 people from the local TU. Several fish were nearly 3ft long. Everybody has been great to help.”
