Fly Fishing Guide / Fishing Department
“I love to give people great memories and great stories to tell.”
May your waders never leak,
and may you always have a tight line.
Skiing and fishing brought Noah Gibbs to Idaho from Missoula, Montana where his family first settled in the late 1800s! He began fishing as little boy, he thinks when he was about three. “I caught a huge carp on a Spider Man pole off a dock at my family’s lake cabin in northern Idaho,” he recalls. “I remember running away from the fish because it looked ‘freaky’!” Now, no fish looks freaky, and Noah particularly likes catching Idaho trout on a Chubby during any stonefly or salmon fly hatch.

Catcher. “I love to give people great memories and great stories to tell. But I also think it’s important to teach important skills that people will be able to be able to use during trip, on future trips, and even on their own.”
Fun Facts about Noah
- Noah competed in freestyle skiing for 12 years. He is now coaching the sport every winter. He also loves to spend time in the fall hunting for elk and mule deer in the Montana backcountry.
- His favorite guide trip to date was a trip on the Provo River in Utah. “The best guide trip I ever had was a father and son trip I had on the Provo river in Utah. It was great fishing pretty much all day. Later in the trip the son went into the bushes to use the rest room. When he went around this pile of bushes he spooked out two bull moose. Luckily these moose were really chill and just want to go back to sleep. We watched them cross the river right in front of us then laid down under a tree just across the river from us. We fished across the river from them for the remainder of the trip and went back to the truck another way.”
- After a day on the water, Noah likes to play pool and enjoy a few cold ones with good friends.
